Positioning

Built for the highways supply chain.

Stonegate Infrastructure is a specialist delivery partner for principal highways contractors and local authorities. We provide dependable additional carriageway maintenance capacity that operates within existing programme, safety, quality and assurance arrangements.

We are not attempting to replace an integrated highways provider, and nothing here is offered as an alternative to one. The service complements existing highways delivery teams and sits inside the processes a principal contractor already runs — as specialist supply chain capacity, additional programme resource, backlog clearance support, seasonal surge capacity or targeted carriageway delivery.

In practice that means collaborative working in the ordinary sense of the word: shared programme information, joint agreement on what is being measured, and reporting in the format your assurance team already uses rather than one of our own.

We are currently engaging with principal contractors and highways organisations regarding initial delivery partnerships.

Where we stand

The information a supply chain manager needs first.

Set out plainly, so that no time is wasted establishing it.

Company status
A specialist highways contractor based in Colchester, Essex. We hold no existing highways contracts.
Contracts held
None. We make no claim of any contract with, or endorsement by, any local authority, principal contractor or national body.
Delivery history
None to date. We ask to be assessed through a controlled pilot programme rather than on delivery references we cannot provide.
Accreditations
Applicable competence, supplier approvals and accreditations will be obtained and maintained according to contract requirements. Where prequalification through a recognised route is required — the Common Assessment Standard, an SSIP member scheme or your own supplier assessment — we will confirm our current registration status in writing at enquiry stage.
Insurance
Cover will be put in place at the levels required by the contract and the principal contractor. Certificates provided on request.
Geographic coverage
Essex and the East of England. Coverage is deliberately regional, because geographic density is central to the delivery model.

Who we work with

How we work with you.

Principal highways contractors

Specialist carriageway defect repair capacity that can be deployed against a defined pool or area, integrating with your programme management and assurance arrangements rather than operating separately from them.

  • Overflow capacity during elevated demand
  • Defined geographic or works pool packages
  • Working within your safety and permit processes
  • Evidence supplied in your required format

Local authorities

Additional specialist resource against approved defect programmes, backlog reduction or funded campaigns, without permanently expanding in-house fleet and workforce.

  • Backlog and seasonal campaign delivery
  • Programme-level output reporting
  • Delivery within your specified standards
  • Available via appropriate procurement routes

Civil engineering contractors

Carriageway defect repair and localised patching capacity to support wider schemes, reinstatement obligations or defect liability periods.

  • Localised patching and defect repair
  • Support to reinstatement obligations
  • Short duration working where suitable
  • Flexible mobilisation against a defined scope

Plant and equipment suppliers

We are actively engaging with suppliers of rapid repair plant, materials and support equipment as the fleet and operating model are specified.

  • Rapid patching and spray injection equipment
  • Material supply arrangements
  • Telematics and operational data interfaces
  • Maintenance and support arrangements

Engagement

A short, honest route in.

We are not asking to be treated as an established supplier. We are asking for the chance to be measured.

  1. 01

    Initial enquiry

Tell us the requirement — geography, approximate volume, defect categories and the standards that apply.

  2. 02

    Position confirmed in writing

We set out honestly what we currently hold, what is in progress and what we would need to obtain for your scope.

  3. 03

    Pre-qualification

We complete your PQQ, supplier onboarding or framework process as required, at whatever level of detail you need.

  4. 04

    Pilot or first package

A bounded programme with agreed measures, so that performance can be assessed on evidence.

Local delivery

Close to the networks we support.

Based in Colchester and focused initially on Essex and the East of England, so that crews, plant and management resource remain close to the networks they serve.

Proximity is operational before it is anything else. It shortens travel to site, makes dense programmes achievable, and keeps the people making delivery decisions near the work rather than remote from it.

It also has a bearing on social value. Where a contract carries social value requirements, we report against the client's own framework rather than a version of our own. For a company at this stage that realistically means local employment, spend retained within the regional supply chain, and training and competence development for operatives in the region.

We are not publishing social value targets or percentages. We have no operational baseline to calculate them from, and a figure quoted without one would be a claim rather than a commitment. What we can commit to now is measuring and reporting these openly from the first programme onwards.
